For a right triangle, you get to use the Pythagorean Theorem.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2.

You have 2 sides, so 7^2 + 24^2 = 625

square root of 625 = 25, so the third side is 25

In response to 'tkquestion' answer below, since the set of possible answers (given by the asker) were all *larger* than two sides given, you must assume that the 3rd side is the hypotenuse, thus there is only 1 way to solve this problem, not two.

You can do this in two different ways.

Knowing two sides are 7 and 24, but not knowing which ones they are, there are two possibilities.

C^2 = 7^2 + 24^2 assumes hypotenuse are unknown
24^2 = 7^2 + B^2 assumes 24 is the hypotenuse

Solve for C and B and you get your answer.
