World Champion, The Undertaker, has a pretty nasty injury he sustained at Backlash. His bicep muscle ripped away from the bone and he appeared in nasty pain after the match, so says WRESTLEZONE.COM. How are they going to handle this? (thye being the WWE writers). Will he drop the title in a match?, or will he forfeit it (ala. Batista did).

World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker and Batista both walked into Philips Arena with plans of victory in the Last Man Standing Match, where the key to victory is to incapacitate your opponent to the point where they cannot answer a 10-count from the referee. However, both men were left battered and beaten, unable to answer referee Mickie Henson’s 10-count – resulting in a draw. (In the case of a draw, the championship leaves the same way it arrived, with the champion.)

In an incredibly brutal Last Man Standing Match, both The Phenom and The Animal pushed each other to the edge, and in the end, after numerous nail-biting nine-counts, neither was able to answer the count. A powerful spear from Batista sent both men flying off the Backlash stage and crashing to the ground below them causing the draw – and keeping the title with Undertaker.

The Deadman and The Animal have had a heated rivalry over the richest prize in the business, with each man pushing the other to the limit. After their WrestleMania 23 encounter, when Undertaker defeated Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship, Batista has been intense in his quest to regain the title. On this night, however, that intensity led to the draw and a missed opportunity for The Animal at regaining gold.

It all depends on if he is going to need surgery or not. If he does he will be out for 6-8 months and if that is the case they will put the belt back on Batista. They are having a hell in a cell match at the next ppv so they can do an injury angle there and put the title on Batista and then when Taker comes back they have an already storyline made as Taker won at mania, then they had a draw, You have big dave win the cell to tie it up at one win each and when Taker comes back the have the rubber match with Taker taking back the title and holding it until Mania when Kennedy cashes in his money in the bank and beats Taker ending the streak and gaining the title.

With anyone else...I'd say drop the title, but this is Mark "the Undertaker" Calloway we're talking about. The man rarely even appears on television to wrestle. I'd give him until the next PPV to at least get into some form of ring shape, I'm not saying the kind of shape to put on a 15 minute clinic, I'm saying able to go out there and squash someone within...maybe 7 minutes without putting any weight on the arm. Let him re-adopt the Triangle Armbar or the Standing Dragon Sleeper Hold as a finisher again, something that doesn't involve him lifting someone up. Let him throw a few soup bones, maybe hit a big boot, possibly a single arm snake eyes on the ropes or turnbuckle, and even maybe an old school if he's able, a leg drop on the apron, then drag them in and make them submit. This is a man whose reinvented himself on multiple occasions, both in persona and ring work. Calloway can no-sell an injury and get it done if anyone can, just have them ignore the problem in storyline form, and let him reinvent himself and let him have his down time during the month, maybe cutting promo's and healing wounds.

I'm not going to be pretensious about this, I'm not positive on the severity of his injury, but if it were career ending, there'd be nothing to consider.
