I use a program from BitPim to transfer files to/from my Samsung phone. I already have the mobile office kit that included the USB cable (~$40 USD). Depending on your phone model, you may or may not need a cable.
My wife has one of the newer Samsung phones that takes the micro memory cards and I've seen some kits that allow the micro card to be docked in the standard SD memory card so it can be used as a file transfer too.

Hi,
the answer is yes (depending on your phone model)
a) using bluetooth to transfer data
b) using data cable to transfer data
c) if ur phone has a external memory card, use a card reader to connect the memory card to ur pc so u can start transfer
d) using infra to transfer data
if all the above u're not able to do so.... then i dun think u can do much... maybe using WAP or Wifi (if the phone has that) to d/l using GPRS or thru ur wifi connection.

Yes, but you have to have the data cable for the phone you want to do it to.
Most newer phones will come with a USB cable that connects them to a PC, older ones have them available but did not come standard.
