Practice, Practice, Practice!
This is not a sarcastic answer, just the cold hard facts.
-- Edit --
Just thought I'd add a bit of additional useful direction. Go heavy on the scales and arpeggios in your practice and learn about music theory. Those blistering licks are nothing more than selecting scales and arpeggios that fit with the chord structure one is jamming to and then executing them flawlessly.

He could probably play guitar better than Robert Plant, but not belt it out the way he could. At least with Zep, Plant was an incredible front man. He did dirty things to the songs he sang. I've never heard anyone fk a song like he did.

Practice for about 8 hours a day and then hope God gave you the ability that he gave to Joe S.

Practice. Also, buy the same kind of guitar he uses, to get a similar sound. My husband bought a Petrucci guitar 'cause he loves John Petrucci's playing.

Learn from him but don't try to be him......be yourself. Be original....to learn his style and to master the guitar, you need to go in the woodshed and stay there for hours on end and years on end.....As a youth, I always had a guitar in my hand. You have to love it and live it.
