i'm thinking that if i really care about him i'd rather not know, but if the person doesn't mean that much to me, i wouldn' give a hoot..what do you think?

i would rather know, because that way i will have the capability to make an informed decision as to whether or not to continue the relationship.
For instance, my chances of std's will increase, the likely hood of having someone else have a baby by the one i love will increase, my time with my significant other will usually be divided with his time with the other person, etc... So that way if i know that there is something going on than i will be better able to decide if I feel that i deserve someone better or if i am content with the risks and such and continue with the relationship.

I would rather know. Being in a committed relationship myself, I would wanna know. I would ask why. I would want to know if it was just because he couldn't keep it in his pants. If that was the reason then I'd leave.
Now, my hubby and I have discussed it and I just told him that I'd kill him if he ever did anything like that. Just kidding.
But we do have a pact. If he felt the urge, then he would tell me about it before acting. So then I can kill him after. Just kidding.
But seriously, if you are in a committed relationship, honesty and communication is very important. That is part of the reason why many people cheat. They aren't open and honest with each other. They act before thinking things through or talking about the problems in the relationship. Sorry so long, but that's my honest opinion.

Having traveled down this road extensively, all I can say is I would want to know, the sooner the better. Loving them only makes it hurt worse, and the humiliation is heart wrenching.
If they don't deserve my love, I'd want to know so I could at least end the relationship on my own terms instead of being blindsided.

If I were you, I would like to know. Because I could find out what lead to his/her being unfaithful and make a decision as to file for a divorce or split or to reach an accord.

I would rather know but I would not act upon it immediately. I would need a while to plan out what I was going to do. And I would not care if I did care for him. He cheated on me. How many other people is he bringing in on him? Grosses me out, but then I'm a nurse and a total germophobe

I don't care if my significant other cheats on me but I would like to know so I will have a reason to get a divorce I know that is bad but that is how I feel LOL

It would depend on why they were unfaithful. If I was being a bad husband, and she was unhappy, I'd want to know. If it was a drunken one night stand during a night out with the girls I definitely wouldn't want to know.

I would rather know. If you don't know then you just look stupid to your significant other. Plus, why would you not wanna know? Wouldn't you want to end the relationship, or deal with it? So yes, I would rather know, 100%

I would rather know because that would show that he really did not love me or care about me. If you are truley in love with somebody you dont even have the desire to cheat. Dont get me wrong you can be attracted to other people but you dont cheat
