I need to know, if something weighs 5ounces, how many grams is that? And no, "I am NOT smarter than a 5th grader."

The average person almost never uses metric, so you wouldn't know off the top of your head.

If your measuring weight 1 oz to wgt grams the answer is about 28 as the others said.

It gets tricky if you have 10 grams of milk (volume) and want to know how many grams it weights.

I would go with "google" it and see what comes up. Try typing in converting ounces into grams and see where it takes you. Best of luck.

yes, u go to google, and u type
"5 ounces in grams"
conversely u do that with 1 ounce and memorize the number
its like 28.34 or something

1 ounce = 28.34952 grams

5 oz = 141.7476 grams = 142 grams, or approx 140 grams

140 is close enough, even 150 grams is close enough (if it's for a recipe).

5 ounces=5/16 pounds=5/16 *453.6=141.75 grams
