Both are excellent, but I can't decide who are better!

I would say U2. They've been around a lot longer and changed their style several times without ever selling out. Oasis is good too, but they're more of a one-trick pony, which I think is the reason why they haven't had as many hit songs. In fact I haven't heard anything new from them in a long time.

U2 without a doubt. Oasis never had a very original sound (um... hello, boys... sounds a little too Beatlesque!) and couldn't pull their heads out of their @sses long enough to stop fighting and bickering. U2 have lasted nearly three decades in the same line-up. They have much more hits and have been successful for much longer. Also, their influence and impact is greater. I think Oasis were tired ten years ago and they're even more pathetic now. U2 is still at the top of their game.

U2 has been around longer, and they are good... I have some CD's from them... But I kinda like Oasis better. U2's songs are all starting to sound the same to me.

U2, Oasis always sound the same, U2 have some variety atleast and help with charities.

U2 is by far a greater band, and they have made a much bigger impact in the music world than Oasis ever has or ever will.

tough decision; some of U2's songs are amazing, but I also like listening to Oasis. If I had to pick, it would depend on my mood. Maybe U2?

I would have to agree with a previous answer. Which of the two has made the greatest impact on the music and world community. Another question would be, which of the two continues to make the larger impact. And without a doubt, U2 has made the greater impact.

To echo a previous answer, U2 cover different styles - Oasis are rather samey. And how well known would they be if it wasn't for the Gallaghers' exploits?

oasis is much better, in my opinion...it`s just a matter of personal preference...i like their sound, as opposed to u2`s, which i`ve never been able to get into...i`ve tried to like u2, but it`s just not happening!!!
