I don't understand these crazy answers above me about 42, (eventhough the universe is made up with language of mathematics), but I think that when we one day find the anwer, it will be the end of it all: I believe we are put here on earth as a test to see what we will do with ourselves, how far we can go in every aspect of life, before it's all over.
You know an interesting movie, the Matrix (all of them) take the same idea of our universe and incorporated into the computer called the Matrix. You know the difference, mathematically, between a computer and the universe? Nothing.

Oh dear poor answerers, how easily misled.
....and picking such an obvious answer from Douglas Adams.
Does anybody have any individuality any more or have Yahoo Answerers turned into a flock of sheep.

Anyway, back to the question at hand. I can see the trap in this question; you are asking for the 'awnser', so the obvious Hitchhiker's reference is not what you are looking for.

As 'awnser' is an anagram then I deduce that the reply you seek in also an anagram.
Thus, the answer to your question is...

'Wofy Trot'

The meaning of life is what you make it. I believe we should put God first, Others second, and Ourselves last. That is my meaning.
The answer to the universe is symmetry. There must be no derivation from perfect symmetry or the universe fails... try reading "A Hole in the Universe".

Life is 2.
Universe is 3
Everything is 7
Multiply these together to get the answer.
