To protect, consistent with Roe v. Wade, a woman's freedom to choose to bear a child or terminate a pregnancy, and for other purposes. A bill proposed by special interests groups to protect abortion and that superceeds all state and federal laws. I am pro-life so I am completely against this bill. Women should not have the option of abortion. This only enables their irresponsible behavior instead of making them more responsible for their actions. It is used as birth control these days which is nothing short of murder. Only in cases where the woman is raped or her life is in jeapordy should this even be considered.

It's amazing! - that this act was created so long ago.

six billion people on this planet.

Most pro-life, instead of working toward a common cause, should get out there and promote birth control to the masses. 'Just say no' is a pretty naive statement.

Most births are in the poor category. Many of these births are creating children with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. These kids have little idea of right and wrong. They become dangerous and control the streets - they are wild children - and to add to that their parent or parents are, more often than not, mentally damaged also. And - there are too many mentally ill people on the streets now because they are getting released early.

Okay, pro-lifers there is ample need to find a cure for our culture which is falling apart because of a burgeoning poor population and unfit parenting skills. Instead of whining about abortion get out there and work hard to bring up social standards for those who can make it and fix those who are too screwed up to have a benificial contribution in society. You can't 'just say no' and expect that people will understand and follow this guidance. Why would the poor people worry about the state of your society?

Not only we, as a nation, are messed up so is the rest of the world - Africa, China, India - for example.

Just think -- all these places are horror stories. Many millions of people on the brink of starvation. What can you do - instead of watching on the sidelines - to help cure this catastrophy - get out there and - instead of quite violent protesting of abortion clinics, cure the problems before its too late.
I think that abortion is the lesser of two evils. How many billions do we wage war with and get our young heros killed and Iraqis too. Children, Mothers, Fathers. Why are you protesting Abortion Clinics when so many are killed by war. It's too late now to pull the troops without leaving Iraq to become a killing field. You pro-lifers should have immediately staged protests against the invasion of Iraq - that's a real issue of pro-life.

Both of the acts state that it is the policy of the United States that "every woman has the fundamental right to choose to bear a child, to terminate a pregnancy prior to fetal viability, or to terminate a pregnancy after fetal viability when necessary to protect the life or health of the woman," prohibits any government from interfering with that right, and allows for civil relief against any person or government entity that does so.
