Bush said in a nationally broadcast statement from the White House. "It makes no sense to tell the enemy when you plan to start withdrawing." OK, but, just whom is the enemy now, we defeated Hussein in a matter of weeks, helped install a government, and so on, um, should we stay in Iraq as a police force for like 30 years or something like that?

He is trying to say that the enemy is the insurgents, then Al Qaeda but they are made up of mostly Iraqis who want us to get the hell out.
He wants it to be like the DMZ.

Okay, there is the enemy, and then there are the people shooting it out over there.
All WE can do, really, is to supress the shooting while the Iraq gov't gets strong enough to take over the job of protecting itself from insurgents.
But the real enemy here is Radical Islam. And that enemy cannot be beaten with bombs and bullets. Somehow, someone needs to get to the people who teach little children that Allah rewards terrorism. We need to reteach those who have been told that Christians and Jews are Infidels. That's NOT what the Quran says! And THEY need to stop giving their children candy in celebration whenever terrorism strikes the West, as happened after the WTC attack. Muslims must be shamed into realizing that they have been mislead, and have a responsibility to right the wrongs that they have allowed in their midst.

hard to answer that question. "terrorists" are the enemy, but finding them is difficult.
