I saw my Dr yesterday and he said that if my period doesn't reurn after a couple of months (from the date of when my next injection would be due) then I should go back as something may be wrong. It seems as though most people took about 6-12 months to get their periods back, so please tell me how long until you got yours? Please. Thank you. x

I would listen to what the doctor says, and wait a few months (I believe the average is 3-9 to get *a* period, and slightly longer for your cycle to regulate itself out again) before being worried at all. Your body needs to adjust all of its hormones back to average levels before your menstural cycles will be normal again.

Best of luck!

Something MAY be wrong, that doesn't mean it will be. Depending on how long you took it & your body in general it could take up to 18 months be get your period back, & they warn you about that on the web site. It varries for every woman, don't stress, stress can delay it longer.

I've heard that it can take up to a year unless you get on a birth control pill to help get your periods back sooner.

I was on depo for four years, then got off of it (thank goodness) and went on Kariva (Pill) and I got mine after a few pill packs.

Load of twaddle, I was on it for 20+ years for the first year I had them, after that I never had one, it is normal not to have them. Your doctor is wrong to say something is wrong.
