i'm moving and the service i'm switching to doesn't offer tivo or dvr... i think i'm going to die!!!!

Well, why are you moving there in the first place? Maybe you should decide if the reason you're moving there is more important than TiVO (I should hope it is >.>).

If you are in the USA you can use a stand alone TiVo with any cable provider.

You can get a TV Tuner card for your PC and use your PC to function as the DVR.

Don't move it isnt worth it. You are very brave to be doing this. I don't think I could do it. Heck I know I couldn't. Good luck.
