i need to find the EXACT values for these:

1. tan pi/3

2. cos pi/4

3. sin pi/6

4. cos pi/2

5. tan pi/4

6. sin pi/3

7. cot pi/2

8. csc -7pi/3

9. sec -3pi/4

This is pretty much exactly the question you asked a few days ago...

To convert between radians and degrees, just change the "pi" to 180 and calculate.

So... pi/4 = 180/4 = 45 degrees
pi/6 = 180 / 6 = 30 degrees

Here was my answer then:

sin 0 = cos 90 = 0
sin 30 = cos 60 = 1/2
sin 45 = cos 45 = (sqrt 2)/2
sin 60 = cos 30 = (sqrt 3)/2
sin 90 = cos 0 = 1

Now you can use those to find tan, csc, sec, and cot.

tan = sin / cos

csc = 1 / sin

sec = 1/ cos

cot = 1 / tan = cos / sin

1. tan pi/3 =tan 60 = sin60/cos60=.5/sqrt(.75)

2. cos pi/4 = cos 45deg = 1/sqrt2

3.sin pi/6 = sin 30 deg = .5

4.cos pi/2 = cos 90 deg = 0

5. tan pi/4 = tan 45 deg = 1

6. sin pi/3 = sin 60 deg =sqrt(.75)

7. cot pi/2 = 1/tan pi/2 = 1/tan 90 deg is undefined

8. csc(-7pi/3) =csc-60 deg =1/sin(-60) =1/-sqrt(.75)

9. sec(-3pi/4)=sec(-135 deg)=1/cos(-135) =-sqrt2
