Well, there are some that have flat out said that human extinction would not be a bad thing.
Scary when people start thinking that.
I'm sure flatulance is a source of global warming.

the article isn't calling for a halt to rice production, it is presenting evidence of methane in the atmosphere as a result of bacteria present in rice growing fields. the article also says feeding the population is more important than worrying about climate migration however scientists are looking at alternatives, more environmentally friendly ways to manage growing rice.
i read no evidence that environmentalists want everybody to die. in fact the opposite is true, we need a clean environment in order to maintain healthy life on earth. that doesn't mean stop eating, breathing, flatulating, it means looking at environmentally friendly ways to grow food and use transportation. big difference than "They want every human to die" as you suggest.

David you are truly misguided. All you have to do is buy some "carbon credits" from Al Gore and you are all set to live in peace with the earth. You see the environmentalists only want every human that not part of their wacko ideas to die not all humans. Buy some credits and you are good to go.

I think what the article is suggesting is that they change HOW the rice is produced, not shut down production altogether. Your melodramatic response is unnecessary, especially when you consider that Newt Gingrich recently announced that he agrees with the science and that something must be done about global warming (link below). John McCain has also made similar statements.
Welcome to the real world, skippy.

I missed death and extinction in that article. Could you please point it out to me??
They also say that Methane from Cow farts is a part of the cause. But I bet you can still get a juicy steak at the local grill.
Boy, talk about doomsday views. . .

you haven't had much in the way of science or the scientific process have you? They identified it as a methane producer.. that's not to say they want to stop producing rice and kill humans.. and even if they did stop producing as much rice.. nothing was said about not planting other foods there..... you just want to try and make propaganda .... intelligent people know better though.
