I want to know if a company can fire you for too many absentees due to a mental health dissability,and use a recent back injury to terminate me.?

I am no lawyer but you need to read your HR manual for absenteeism... go find a lawyer if you if wish but be care full big companies like to exaggerate the negative causing sympathy to their case....

Generally, yes, they can. But depending on the size of the company and how long you worked for them, you might be eligible for what's called family medical leave. There's a federal law that if you meet the requirements, they have to give you up to 12 weeks (unpaid) leave over a 12-month period for medical reasons. But even if you meet the eligiblity rules, you have to request leave under FMLA - it's not automatic. If you don't request it, you're not covered, although the company is required to post information about it in an accessible place so employees can know about it.

Have these been physician documented? Did you receive any written warnings prior to your termination?
