3800 cc. It's a measurement of volume or engine size in METRIC , The GM 3.8L V-6 has been on the J.D. power top 10 for many years . its a good engine
3.8l is a 232 Gm
5.0 L is a 302 >>>>>>>>> in some mustangs

The size of the piston.
For example: A v6 Monte Carlo with a 3L engine means the width of the pistons forcing the internal combustion to power the car offers that amount of horsepower.
The bigger the cylinder, the more more air is inhaled to force combustion.
So a 5.0L mustang creates more power.
I placed a link for you, but I tried to answer it in simple terms. I hope this helps.
So why should you care, and why is there a sticker on the back of many cars telling you the engine's displacement? The displacement of the engine gives you some estimate of the maximum power that the engine can produce.

It's the amount of displacement the engine can handle. That is to say, the total volume of air/fuel mixture an engine can draw in during one complete engine cycle. A larger engine with a higher displacement is usually more powerful.

liters are the metric unit of measurement for displacement, kind of like if you hear of a 350c1 chevrolet or a 427ci ford.. you can find out the cubic inches of displacement on any car by multipying the liters by 61.. so a 6.0 liter engine would be a 366cubic inch motor

It is a measurement in volume or size of the motor. The larger the number, the larger the engine. It is a metric measurement in size.

Hi,
It means the displacement of the engine. Just like we use cubic inches to describe the displacement of American engines, except liters are in metric.

its the total volume inside the cylinders
more volume, means larger explosions, so more power
