I only fill up once a week as it is. One day of not buying gas won't change the price of gas, heck a week of everyone not buying gas won't change the price. You know why? because the oil companies know we need it and they are RICH so they can hold out for a day a week a month even Can we as Americans go that long without buying gas? I can't I have to go to work.

Oil companies could drop the price of gas to entice consumers back to the station but it's only a temporary fix. it'll go back up and even higher later. or Oil companies will raise the price, because well they can and they know that people have to buy it.

We have to face it Oil prices are never going back down. We have to make more efficient vehicles and alternative fuel vehicles and stop the oil companies make billions of dollars a year. Exon Mobile's profits for the first quarter this year was 9.3 billion dollars, (look it up) $9,300,000,000.00 in only 3 months!

A one-day boycott won't change anything. People who need gas will just buy it on May 14th or wait until the 16th. There needs to be tough government controls that regulate how much profit these greedy oil companies can rake in; most oil companies are recording record profits that get fatter every quarter. Why shouldn't the government take the preponderance of those obscene profits away and give low-incomed motorists savings vouchers (and let's not be giving savings vouchers to those who drive $60,000 gas-guzzling SUVs or pick-up trucks. They bought those gas hogs; let them live with paying sixty bucks to fill up their tanks). -RKO- 05/02/07

I'm playing!

For me to not buy gas on the 15th also requires that I not go to work. For me (and others like me who choose to play) that gas will not be bought the day before or the day after. It is lost sales. Additionally, because I won't be going to work, it also has the effect of being a disorganized national labor strike.

The boycott is stupid, there is not any differance if I fill up on the instant day after today, or whilst on each and every occasion, simply by fact at last i want gas to pass to artwork, %. up youngsters, and so on. it fairly is called existence, left wing nuts. furnish and demand, the Oil agencies are gonna get our funds at last, so it makes no differance which day you fill. All you human beings announcing i visit fill up on the instant or the sixteenth what's the differance? maximum folk do no longer want gas standard, maximum fill up as quickly as each and every week or two times relies upon on your interest and what's happening. in case you Nuts desire to make a differance than set the occasion, experience your bike to artwork, use the T-prepare in case you have one on your city, positioned wind farms on the coast of Cape Cod the place I stay, to extend power on our area and much less on oil and gas however the great HYPROCITES LIKE TED KENNEDY, JOHN KERRY AND Liberal pals do no longer want that, permit's end human beings like Al Gore flying on inner maximum Jets. I advise we are in a position to do alot plenty extra and a sometime gas out is stupid. The Oil agencies gets you ultimately it fairly is called furnish and demand.

No, because eventually everyone will HAVE to get gas, and the companies beind all the price increases know that. So they'll jack up the prices more and reap the profits when we have to fill up.

Before perpetuating a false story, please at least check with a few of the common debunk sites. Even a past Yahoo Answer question covered this. I'm surprised it didn't show up as an "already asked" question when you filed it.

I doubt anyone will listen to any of that, most of the people who see this will prbably forget by the 15th.
