If you're from the UK, you should know that there has never been a President! The UK's head of State is the Queen, and the head of Government is the Prime Minister. However, I don't feel that either really represents a truly democratic state, and the introduction of a republican system, abolishing the royal family and the House of Lords, with a President as ruler might not be a bad idea. President of the UK, indeed! Is there no end to people's ignorance?

Next Prime Minister should be someone under the age of 40 who has some grasp on the social and economical values of the working class.
Someone who can stand up to the super rich and claim back the £20billion tax dodge they pulled off

A republican - off with the traitor's head.
It is bad enough having politicians as ministers, let the Royal Family provide us with Heads of State.

I would rather be part of the USA than part of Europe!
If you think the present PM is bad, just wait until Gordy takes over. You will be wishing Blair was back - mark my words!

When the Royal Family finally sails off into the sunset, I'd want an Irish-style elected figurehead with no significant executive powers. Then we can elect someone who's not a politician, but reflects British culture - my vote's for Victoria Wood.
