Yes, i found it very suprising because McNabb is still young and is a good quarterback unfortunately he has had injury problems the last 2 years. When he was healthy he took them to the Super Bowl. Plus the Eagles Signed a back up quarterback right after they were knocked out of the playoffs. They needed to draft wide receivers since Donta Stallworth left and they don't have a strong group of receivers and they needed to address their lack of defense expecially after getting rid of Darvin Walker that was a Pro Bowler and Lewis that was a Pro Bowler.

This a one of the worst moves that the Eagles have made in the last five years. They need to have a top wide receiver or improve the defense that has been growing older by the year. Mcnabb is still a pro bowl quarterback when he is healthy. Mcnabb and westbrook need more help on that team.

When you break it down, it's not surprising that the Eagles are looking for a new backup QB. Mcnabb is getting older, he's becoming injury-prone, and a new quarterback could take at least a year or two to become proficient at the west coast offense as a starter, let alone as a backup role.

The surprise is in who the Eagles took.

Yeah considering QB was not their most glaring need. They need a WR and they needed an insurance policy against a guy who gets hurt more then McNabb, Jevon Kearse. I dont know why but the guy that Dallas took once the Eagles gave them their first round pick seems like a much better pick then Kolb. The problem is not that they took a QB but the problem is that they reached on him .Kolb would have been there with their second maybe even third pick and he wasnt even the best option on the board. It was simply a bad pick.

Yes it was surprising to take a QB in the 2nd round only because it was Mr. Kolb. But again the Eagles did a good job in finding "McNabb" as their starting QB, so I think they probably had a very good reason to draft Kolb that early.

Anyways if Kolb becomes a bust, I don't care, I'll be happy, since the Eagles blow and the city of Philly sucks too....But Pats makes good cheese steaks, mmmmmm.

No.If Mcnabb is not 100% healthy then I think he is too injury prone for the starting QB position. The Eagles should start looking for a starting QB replacement for Mcnabb because he has not been playing Super Bowl caliber football in the past two seasons and he is too injury prone.

He's not worth all that much anymore!..He cant sramble like he use too!,That is why everyone fell in love with him!And he sucks as a pocket QB!!!..This wasn't the year for picking a good QB in the draft,to find a replacement for McNabb!..McNabb wasn't the reason he went too 4 NFC Championships in a row!,...It was their Defense! So no surprise!!!Andy Reid thinks he can out smart everyone,he's a loser too,so a loser making a loser decision? No surprise there!

as injury prone as he has been the last few years, the eagles ned some insurance. after garcia proved himself last year as mcnabbs replacement, he left. it seems mcnabb gets injured frequently, and the eagles want some young talent insead of an older veteran. their choice, however, i do not agree with. they should have chosen the mich state qb or the byu qb beck, but we will see how kolb pans out. when mcnabb is healthy, he is a elite qb, as shown last year before his injury.

Mcnabb is one of the best QBs right now but he gets hurt often so they need Backup QB that's all
