"Occasionally the calcium levels increase if there is a malfunction of the parathyroid glands leading to their overactivity. Any cause of multiple fractures and a relatively rare primary cancer of the bone marrow - multiple myeloma can also be the guilty party to a high calcium level."

this is a more serious diagnosis that the doctor could come up with...but this is very rare....good luck buddy! :)

Too much potassium can cause kidney failure and other organ failure. My mom was hospitalized due to potassium overdose (after diuretics due to swelling) and had to have emergency dialysis to get excess potassium out of her body. Yours doesn't sound this bad (or your dr. would have you in the hospital), but it's definitely something to keeep an eye on.

With too much calcium you could wind up with kidney stones (I have had those).

Also if excess calcium collects around your joints you could develop arthritis-like symptoms.

Not sure what too much potassium will do.
