Divorce in NY?

Would someone explaine please how to get a divorce in NY and how long does it take?
Also, if we have beed married with my wife for almost 10 years - does it mean she automatically will receive 50 % of my SS benefits? Thank you!

get a good lawyer... she Might get half your SS... it can take a year to get divorced with problems, or as little as 60 days

Yes after 10 years you are entitled to percentages of each other Social security, and also pentions or 4001k's ..the division of property is 50/50 as well as assets, but after 10yrs of marriage stakes are higher
