That is caused by your paragraph style. For your whole document, just use SELECT ALL, then go to FORMAT and pick Paragraph. The pick the line spacing features that you want.

Worry about formatting AFTER you have your simple document typed. For very long documents, you can use FORMAT and pick STYLE, then pick the NORMAL Style and modify the paragraph settings. Then it will look like the the style that you want, as you type it.

Lot's of people get hung up on how it looks BEFORE they are done. For gosh sakes, don't use SPACES to moving things around.. Learn how to define TABS. For gosh sakes, don't use the ENTER KEY to move things down, learn how to set paragraph spacing.

Gee, you might BUY a book and LEARN how to use the product. DUMMIES might be OK. You might try the Video Professor.... you know the BALD GUY that sells his "PRODUCT".

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Please be more specific. Either you are getting a double LINE (ie: "--") or a double SPACE (ie: " ") or an extra carraige return?. WHich is it?
