Lawn mate lawn. I'm Lazy too but grass is best.
Once you lay it down then it will pretty much take care of itself. (seeding is much harder). Lazy option turf.
A haircut every ten days ain't too much work. Get the missus to do that or give a bit of cash to a local kid to do it for you. (tell them they can start the BBQ!)
Picture yourself by the BBQ, catching some rays with a bottle of beer.......nice. Doesn't quite work in a gravel pit or concrete set up.
The alternatives to grass get DIRTY! Its fine in the Summer but year after year you'll have weeds and stuff to clean up come spring.
Get yourself a reclining chair and enjoy. Just close enough to the house to hear the footy scores!!!

I think you've already answered your question... if you're that lazy, then no lawn.
Here's what it comes down to: are the benefits of having a lawn worth the effort required to maintain the lawn? Which do you want more: to not take care of your lawn or get the pleasure of having a lawn?

I had gravel instead of a lawn and i soon got fed up with the "desert" look. I hired a landscape gardener and put down a lawn and I am sooo glad I did.
Lawns are not hard work at all really. They need feeding twice a year by sprinking lawn sand over it and mowing once every 2 weeks.
A mower with a grass box cuts down the work even more. I recommend the Flymo range, they are fab.

No lawn for you, since you're lazy! :) A lawn for the rest of us because it gives more than it takes.

If you're lazy then go for no lawn. However, I think a garden is so much nicer with a lawn, however small!

Lawn. And pull your finger out and do something with your life, you lazy good for nothing. A little while mowing every week won't hurt you. None of this moaning over a little hard work. When I was young....

Have a lawn. You may be lazy about mowing, but at least you'll have a pretty place to lay down when you're done.
