Depending on the Brand of the video card. I have a Diamond Radeon 9600 and a x1950XTX and they both run great with Vista. Ofcourse i install the correct Vista drivers for both of these video cards.

People who bought Vista and did the upgrade from XP are the ones experiencing most of the problems...since it seems Vista had trouble overwriting the XP files to make them Vista files...thus the problems
If the computer came preinstalled with Vista then there are less problems but still very many that have yet to be resolved...
Both ATI and nVidia have stated that they are working on drivers to fix display problems...ATI said they will be adding support all the way back to the 9600 series of video cards...and nVidia will add support back to the GeForce 3 series...anything before that is out of luck and should be because any computer running a card that old should not even think of having Vista on it

Buddy everybody is having problems after upgrading to vista.
Vista is a piece of crap. There are so many problems nobody knows what to do with them. It's windows ME all over again.
Anyway to specifically answer your question: yes. I was forced into getting vista when I bought my dad a new laptop, and whenever you try to watch any sort of video on it the windows start to destabilize, or the graphics driver will flat out fail and the screen will go blank until it restarts itself.
