has anyone read "The colour purple"? and if so how did you find it?

the book is very graphic and explores issues such as racism, sexism and differences in societies that apply to ours aswell its a fantasic book! read it!

I read it when I was like 11 or so, a little hard to read, but once you got you to it, it was a good book.

it is a timeless book that brings in issues of sexism and racism,

If you liked that book you should look at the book Paris Trout.

I had to read The Giver in grade 7 I think, and ended up buying the book and have reread it multiple times. I find it incredibly interesting and engaging. I feel my view of the world changed after reading that book (without ruining anything, the book is set in the far future, and was written so well!). It has been a long time since I read it, but I love that book!

One of the few books I have read where the movie made from the book is very good.

I have not read this book. I saw reviews of the movie, so I do not think I would like either of them.
