I'm running windows xp pro, and I want to be able to have a different background on each monitor. Is there a program or something that I can use?

If you have two monitors on a dual head card, and they are both the same resolution then this might work:

Change the pictures you want to use as the backgrounds for each monitor to match the resolution of the screen.
Now create a new picture which is the same height but twice the width.
Paste the image you want on the primary monitor onto the left side of the wide picture, and the other image onto the right side of the wide picture.
Now select the image as your desktop background and for the Position select Tile.
Cross your fingers and click O.K.

So your using both monitors together but they are both running of the computer, correct? The only thing i can think of is if you plug one of the monitors into another computer and if you are running on a network you might be able to make it were that computer shows its background but you can control the mouse and the applications its running through the network. Its complicated and I am not sure 100% that it will work. one last question. Why are you wanting another background on the other monitor?
