I have verizon DSL connected to a dell router. One computer is wired to router, other is wireless. It was working fine until a few weeks ago, now randomly works, but with a weak signal. I've tried reinstalling the routher several times, but same problem occurs sooner or later. Laptop is having trouble finding the wireless router as well once it disconnects. Questions is: Do you believe this is a DSL problem, router problem, or a wireless card in the laptop problem? Any suggestions on how to go about fixing this? It has friend my brain.

You need to test each item.

Get a friend with a wireless laptop to try to connect to your router. If they can, then you know it's your laptop's card.

If it cannot, then you can check the router.

Test everything one by one.

Use another laptop to detect your router. If same thing happens means it's your router problem. If it detects well, your own laptop wireless card having problem.

If it's your router problem, check your setting on your router with your firmware. See whether it's status and connection is functioning properly or not. If the status is very unstable then you'll have to check out what's wrong with it.

I don't think this is a DSL problem since you still have weak signal because in most of the DSL problem occurred, you won't be able to connect to the internet. But of course this is ONLY my opinion.

According to your issue I think your Laptop Card may have the problem. Try to connect another laptop and see whether it works
