Probably had something to do with two 100 story buildings next door collapsing, severely damaging its structure and starting a fire inside the building, weakening it even more.
Just a guess. Or, if you would prefer a more esoteric theory, it could have been the secret plotters who dropped the building to hide the secret control room inside where the remote-guided airliners were steered into the WTC and Pentagon.
I'd probably go with the first one, but whichever one suits your fancy is fine with me.

Depends which version of 9/11 you believe.
The official line is that the building structures were damaged by the falling debris of WTC1 and WTC2 which crashed around it. There was also something to do with an internal fire.
The conspiracy theory is that it too was brought down by a controlled demolition because of things that were stored under WTC7.
