Check the IBM web site for the information. Laptop hard drives are often unique to that particular to that make and model of laptop, and can only be replaced with specific ones made for the model. If there is a larger drive available, IBM will have it for sale.

Often if you get the part number, you can google that number and find a generic replacement part for less at other sites.

Should take any ATA/IDE hard drive. There are two main types of 2.5inch laptop hard drives. SATA, which you DON'T want, has a slot style connector. ATA/IDE drives have pins to connect. Check out ebay and type thinkpad hard drive. You'll get plenty of results, some even guaranteed to work with your model.
