Older women and younger guys; are women attracted to younger guys?

Question

I've been wondering about their thoughts and feelings for younger guys. Could it be that they're really into guys in their early 20's? If so, why?

By the way, this is referring to women in their late 30's and early 40's.

There are certainly women out there who like younger men. I guess it is a plus, in a number of ways, mainly being the fact that women outlive men by about 10 years. So having a younger life partner means just that. they are more apt to still be around in old age.

Mind you, I do not get the interest in why these younger guys want older women. I guess for a lot of the guys, they are not interested in having children so than that works for them?? I personally do not get why, but many of the men who have expressed interest in getting involved with me (since I have been widowed) are in their early to mid 30s.

I, on the other hand, prefer older men, always have. But I just lost my husband - he was 12 years older than me. I knew that we would never grow old, together, but I had expected him to live well beyond 55. Though I miss him, and I understand that my interest in older men means I may be here again, I still have NO interest in younger men.

To each their own!!! Oh and the women who prefer younger men are called Cougars and the men are called Prey...

I think it's the same reason older men are attracted to younger women....1) who wants an old geezer when you can have a nice young 'un and 2) it makes them feel younger. I know this one lady who's been 35 for the last 10 years and only dates men that are younger than 25...a 30 year old man for her is already old. I find this quiet sad, but she's an adult and go do what she pleases. The relationships usually last less than 6 months.

It is possible that older women has liking for younger guys.
All woman loves to look young, therefore, the older you get the more you want a younger guy to make you feel younger.
However, many older woman get so obsess in feeling younger that some may not realise that being with a younger guy will make them look even older and also that they would probably love the feeling of feeling young but they dont love the guy at all.
But of course, that is only based on physical appearance, on top of that, women loves the feeling of being pampered and having a guy who is able to compromise.
Unfortunately, as man start to reach their mid 30s to late 30s, they often put career on the top priority or rather they became more ignorant towards women's feelings. Very often that is the period when women might need to feel more love and hence the older men ended up neglecting their woman.
This is probably the period when woman starts to feel lonely and they dont feel being pampered. Ultimately they will grow fonder of young guys.
Young guys are different, they make a woman feel the love, they do everything just to please a woman, they are less ignorant than older man, they are able to make an older woman reminisce the moments she had few years back when she is dating with her old man.
The woman might be sub-consciously recalling the lovey-dovey moments she used to have such that it might inflict her feelings towards the young guy.
In conclusion, it could be because of older women's sub-conscious thoughts that cause them to think that they are actually into younger guys.

I'm 52 and no i dont find guys in their 20's attractive. somehow there is something off putting about bedding a boy younger than your son.
but if you go a little older 30's and 40's yes definitely, as too why well i would have thought that was obvious.

Older women are attracted to younger guys for several reasons. 1) Women reach their sexual peak in their late 30's - men reach theirs in their late teens to 20's. Makes them very compatible. 2) younger men are more flexible, modern and open 3) younger men have better physiques 4) younger men aren't couch potatos 5) younger men are more adventurous. As a woman in my mid-thirties, not only do I find myself attracted to younger men more and more, I find that they are equally attracted to me.

We were immediately attracted to each other because he wanted someone older and more responsible who didnt play games and I wanted someone younger who could keep up with me and was willing to have a lot of fun. Personally, I generally am not. I'm 50, and I like a guy who can carry on a conversation and who is more intellegent than I am. Most younger men still have too much to learn to please me. I have met a couple who have managed to surprise me, but I usually am attracted to men who are either my age or older.
I also find younger men to have less gentlemanly manners, and I like a man who has self control. Too many young men that I have come in contact with (who work with my husband) cannot keep their sexual exploits to themselves. I could care less, but they seem to think I need to know.

45 and while I enjoy the view, most of the time anyone younger than 35 has nothing to say that would interest me. But then I have friends who date guys younger than their oldest child and most of the time it is only a sexual relationship - the belief, better to rob the cradle than the grave, more fun too.
