LOL yep have noticed that too and totally agree with you on all points raised! Apparently as rumour goes they only film in Miami for two days each year. But dont you think Horatio is such an heroic name and suits him?

I agree with you and your husband. That guy who plays Horatio - David Caruso is soooooo cheesy, soooo tacky ! I hate his acting that's why I don't watch CSI Miami that much.
And when there's a scene where he is suppose to interrogate somebody - he doesn't look at them! He's just there looking at the horizon and his hands on his waist. And when he is about to say his punchline, that's the only time he looks at the person he is talking to then he goes back staring at the horizon again.
And man, those sunglasses. He really have to "dramatically" put it on! Everytime! Sooo tacky!
And that blond girl who plays Kelly - haven't you notice that she doesn't frown. Look at her when she's testing guns at the firing range - human nature is when you're aiming at something, you will squint your eyes and your brows will get closer. With Kelly, no, her eyes sparkles and her brows does not move. Or when she's checking evidence up close, she seem to be smiling. What a fake! I think she's overdosed with Botox!
I've never been to Miami, but that's how tropical settings look like. Just think of Hawaii.
The Original CSI is still the best. But don't you also wonder why most if not all of these characters are not married. Warrick is married but it's on the rocks. And are all real-life CSIs cynical people.

LOL!!! I'm not the only one so!
I think that David Caruso seems to think that hanging his head and tilting it any which way seems to be good acting, indicating intelligence, but to me it's HAM acting!!
Overstaing the obvious... yes, again, we have a ham actor, don't forget.
Miami, never having been to that part of the world, I think it's all trick photography.
I like all CSI variations. they are all different.
Las Vegas, the original... the best one, in my opinion.
Miami... for the sun seekers
New York... dark and gritty. (Did you notice that CSI NY is filmed darker than the other two franchises?)

LOL I totally agree with you. They film them with different filters etc. to give an exaggerated feel for the location, so
Miami is as you say extra colourful (although it is pretty colourful in reality) but they have definitely brightened it on film.
Las Vegas I would say is pretty much as it would be in reality, and NY is much darker than it really is, I don't really know why they would want you to think that NY is a gloomy place though.
