Knowing more than one language is a help to anyone.
teaching languages is also a great help to people.
If you in any way are saying multi culturalism then that is totaly different. No nation can survive and prosper with more than one dominating culture.
If you really liik at the greek empire and the roman empire you will se i8t was the multicultural aspect that finally brought them down.
Europe has several states with people that speak diferent languages but the culture is nearly identical. It works to a oint but there are many problems where one language would be better.
China is doing ver well now and has many different languages but the culture is nearly the same in all areas.

Use a search engine. Type in bilingualism in education, cons and pros of, disadvantages and advantages of. Try wikipedia. Try an encyclopedia, and maybe you'll find examples of people that show the effects of this.
