Hi. I live in Montgomery County, MD and they have recently installed speed and red light cameras here. I drive a motorcycle (Honda CBR) and a car (Corolla) and was wondering if anti-photo radar license plate covers (the kind that block cameras from seeing the plate from an angle, not the kind that make the entire plate blurry always, as that will get me pulled over) work? I know there's Photoblocker spray you can put on your license plate but it's my understanding that that ONLY works if there was a flash on the camera, which there won't be during the daytime. If they do work can you recommend a certian one or do they all work the same? If they don't is there anything else you can recommend (other than slowing down)? Price is not a concern as long as it's reasonable ($100 or less) Any and all valid information is greatly appriciated!

Is there any other way to avoid you pic getting taken? I'm thinking for the motorcycle that i could have something I could easily cover up my plate w/ when i go thru camera areas that i could kindof explain if i get caught coving it (like a sweatshirt hanging off the back that covered it or something)? It's so annoying slowing down to 35mph every time.
Also, if there a website or something where it tells where all the speed cameras are placed in Montgomery County, MD? I see signs on the speed limit that they are there but i dont even know what they look like? Can someone describe them or give a link to a pic? Thanks!

The Mythbusters show on the Dicovery channel checked out the various products that supposedly prevent the camera from getting a picture of your plate and nothing, including the plate covers you mention, worked. The only on that even slightly worked was the blurry one and even with that one you could still see enough of the number to get busted. The one thing that did work is that they rigged up a "James Bond" like rotating plate that they could switch when they went past the camera. That would probably cost more than a $100. Good Luck!

Each kind work each is illegal. I prefer to stop for red lights car bumper smashing into my drivers door running the red light does not make me happy. For a traffic offence to happen don't you have to offend some one? Speed Cameras are another thing entirely I think a person needs to see the offence happen to ticket the driver. Whitness the actual driver of the car running fast not just ticket the car. Most traffic camerias flash all the time in Infer red light

the Myth Busters have tested a lot of those devices, and they are a waist of money. They if any thing, will attract more attention to you.
Slow down, and save your fuel consunption.
