People humoured him but no-one believed him.
How did that Jesus fella get away with it, and why has everyone since then, who claimed he was Jesus, been ridiculed as a `nut`???? And quite rightly so....Jesus included.

There is in fact very little real evidence about Jesus. What we have is accounts written many years after he died and the bible only has 4 of them and there was over 30 gospels but the early church leaders only included the ones that fitted in with what they wanted people to believe. Some gospels don't even mention the crucifixion. So we don't really know if he claimed to be god or the son of god. He was probably just another radical Jewish preacher and it was Paul who turned a small Jewish sect into a world religion
The guy in the program last night had a bi-polar condition a type of paranoid depression.

People were more ignorant in Jesus' time, i.e. if he actually lived. There is strong doubt about that, since he is mentioned only in the Bible and by men who copy it, e.g. Flavius Josephus. If Jesus lived now and said he was son of some god, he'd be in a nuthouse where such deluded men belong.

well I don't know how they didn't know jesus was the savior, there was many prophecies about Jesus and he fulfilled them, then he performed miracles (the anti-christ will to and claim to be the Savior who came back) Jesus did hang around with the poor and detest the Pharasees and Saducees, so this made him unbelievable, it would be like Jesus coming back and telling the TV evangelisms to step down, do you think they would do that, I doubt it, and gove up their very living, and their nice houses and cars and ect. NOPE. I would like to see the second coming happen and Jesus walk into every Mormon temple and run out all the Mormons and destroy the temples. Sorry if your Mormon, but we are now the temples of God.

I think performing miracles and ascending into heaven and stuff like that gave Jesus' claims a bit more gravitas! I do believe the chap on last nights show was feigning mental illness so he didn't have to get a job.I preferred the Elvis guy,I dare you to say he was faking!

I don't think there's any real proof that Jesus did claim to be God. If he did he probably got away with it because people were much more likely to believe such claims in those days.
People who claim to be Jesus or God should be ridiculed because if they really were who they claim to be they would have irrefutable proof and obviously they have not.

My dad actually said. that it is a good job that Jesus wasnt around today or he would be locked up in a nut house!!!

I personally think Jesus was on drugs or something... thinking he could walk on water and stuff... making blind men see? he was just handing out drugs and people were hallucinating!

Another one is that every week people go to church to talk to God but if he talks back to you you're insane!
