You say that you have spots, "could be a migraine", but you did not specify if you have pain or headache with them. If you have a headache, they could indeed be signs of pre-eclampsia. Are you having any other symptoms, such as swelling, or pain in the gastric area that is not relieved by antacids? These are also symptoms of pre-eclampsia. Do you have a "premonition" or warning that they are coming on? If so, it could be a migraine. There is treatment for both. Please discuss this further with your healthcare provider. Your blood pressure would be elevated at rest with pre-eclampsia, along with protein in your urine. If you think there is something wrong, don't give up until you get someone to listen to you. I am a labor and delivery nurse and have seen instances where a patient "just didn't feel right", came in several times, all clinical indications showed there was nothing wrong, but the patient had a very severe case of pre-eclampsia, had a seizure at the hospital, and had to be delivered several weeks early. So please, if you think something is wrong, keep pursuing help. God bless you and your new baby!

Yellow lights in front of the eyes can be associated with pre-eclampsia. Have you had your urine and blood pressure checked? If not I would contact your midwife and have this done asap. If you've already had this done and they are normal it is most probably related to stress or migraines!!

I'm 36.5 weeks and i get the same thing. Mine is due to headaches and light-headedness. I've had stress headaches pre-pregnancy (starting at the age of 10!) so I wasn't surprised that this is now beginning to happen more often. Does it occur when you are in the middle of certain activities? You might be over-exerting yourself. Try to take it slowly and to keep up your fluid intake. Since it occurs when you're stressed, they are most likely stress headaches. Even if your head doesn't hurt when it happens, your body is reacting to the stress hormones being released. Take it easy, Mom to be, and you should be fine! Best of luck to you and your baby!!!

I think you need to go to an eye specialist, see a local optician and tell them your problem and as you are preggies in the UK you get the check free.
Do not ignore the situation and do not accept being fobbed off.
It is not normal.

Did they check your blood pressure, otherwise it could be a stress migraine, try to calm down and relax.
