Then obviously this person is not a friend in any sense of the word. Time to move on and to tell them just why.

How terrible, such a person doesn't deserve to be called a friend. If your secrets do come out don't lose your cool, every one has secrets no matter how moral we claim we are. We have all done one stupid thing or the other. If everybody's secrets is exposed you would be shocked to findout the kind of silly things decent people do. You may feel weird for some time but you would get over it. You are human, you are bound to make mistakes. Don't let anybody treat like dirt for making a mistake or for doingsomething silly 'cos no one is perfect. Always remember that any secret that has been told to someone no matter how close that secret is no longer a secret.Learn from this incident.

Try this. Walk into a room and ask her in front of other people if she can keep a secret. When she answers "Yes" say "Good, So can I". And then turn around and walk towards the door. When You get there look over your shoulder at Her and casually ask, "I suppose that means Everyone's secrets... and not just those You choose to keep?" Then walk out of the room. Smart money says that You will get a bight. Others will be curious and that then gives You the justification to let others know that she is not to be trusted with secrets. Women hate being excluded from gossip.

I've just had same problem. Confronted her and told exactly how I felt. said I felt betrayed. She has backed off and I feel a weight lifted off my shoulders. We still talk but she knows her limits

You dump your "friend" ... no real friend would ever reveal any secrets between you to anyone
Then you act like you don't care what she did - unless you did something illegal, in which case I should watch for a visit from the law!

That is awful no good friend would do that she obviously does not see you as a good friend she is being spiteful, You are going to have to confront her she cant get away with this, it has hurt your feelings she cant be trusted, do you think she did it for her own gains ie work promotion.

I knew a girl that used to don that to me I'd say something in secret to her and when we were out she'd say it in front of everyone I think she was jealous and it was the only way of putting me down. It used to really hurt cause I thought we were close and I would nevr have done that to her.
Confront her!! I bet she's jealous!

Continue right on with your life the way you have been. You probably didn't have them fooled as much as you thought you did. As long as you don't bother them with your preferences they probably don't care. As far as your friend goes, she doesn't seem to be much of a friend.

she's betrayed you hun...and i think that's pretty sad because she's meant to be your friend....you need to tell her that she has to keep her mouth shut because this is not what friends do to others.....do not tell her any more secrets about yourself....and maybe try and find a new friend that you can trust
