A line is has a slope that never changes.

The slope of a line is defined as the vertical change (change is y) divided by the horizontal change (change in x)

Using (0, -5) and (x, y) which represents every other point on the line... find the slope.

(y + 5) / (x - 0)

This must equal 4.. because the slope of a line never changes.

(y + 5) / (x - 0) = 4

Cross multiply

y + 5 = 4x

Subtract 5

y = 4x - 5

Since your line contains the point (0, -5), graph the point (it is on the y-axis). The slope of the line is 4 .. which means the vertical change divided by the horizontal change is 4. Choose any two values that divide to equal 4

Vertical change = 4 and Horizontal = 1

So, using your graphed point move up 4 units, then right 1 unit.. to find another point on your line. You could also move up 8 units and right 2 units, or down 4 units (-4) and left 1 unit (-1) .. as long as the numbers divide to equal 4.

Connect your points to form a line.

from the general equation of linear equation :
y=mx+c
given, m=4
and the graph intercept the y-axis at coordinate (0,-5)
therefore c= -5
substitude all the value we get linear equation:
y= 4x-5

its a straight line graph and positively sloping.

y = mx + c , where m is the slope, and c is the y-intercept

The equation is
y = 4x -5

To graph, assign value to x

x = 0 , y = - 5
x = 1 , y = - 1
x = 2 , y = 3
x = 3 , y = 7

and soon, if you add 1 to the value of x, y increases by 4

y + 5 = 4 (x - 0)
y = 4x - 5
To draw the line you need two points:-
(0,-5) and (2 , 3) would be two points from which graph could be drawn.

y=4x-5
-5 is the y-intercept and the coefficient is the gradient(4).
