Please tell me what is involved, & what you did to find a surgeon. Was it successful, were you happy with the results, costs involved? I am a DD & would prefer to be a C.

Hi there, I had mine done 2 weeks ago in Melbourne. I am 21 and went from a 12G to a 12DD.
My surgeon took 500 grams of solid breast tissue out of each breast plus 100 grams of fatty tissue through liposuction. He cut off some of my areolar on my right side and rotated it slightly so that it is now even with the other breast.
I spent 2 hours in surgery, then only 20 mins in the recovery ward and stayed overnight in hospital.
I used the same plastic surgeon that my employer used to have her implants done. He is fantastic. I am extremely happy that I no longer have any back, neck r shoulder pain, my rounded shoulders and curved spine were corrected immediately after the weight was gone from my chest. I had the Le Jour technique which I higly recommend. I involves less scarring, a quicker result, quicker healing and a more natural and guaranteed rounded shape.

I paid $11,000 which includes my surgeons fees, anaesthetist, assistant surgeon, theatre, hospital and medications. I have already been refunded $900 from Medicare and I will also get back $2000 from the Health Tax Benefit, so it cmes down to only costing $8000 which I think is actually really cheap considering the fantastic results.

I have taken 3.5 weeks off one job, 4 weeks off my other job and I only took 1 week off of uni. I really didn't find it very painful, just uncomfortable. Even now as I am writing this I am not in pain, just a bit of discomfort at the bottom of my incisions.

Email me if you would like my Plastic Surgeons name and web site.

I found this fantastic when researching reductions. There are hundreds of before and after pics, question sections and even animated side shows showing the different incision techniques which can be used

Dunno bout australia, but I had mine done in Feb 2006 in the US and I don't regret it one bit.

I was in surgery for three hours and stayed in a hospital overnight.

The link below has a section of FAQ's for breast reductions, talking about different incisions and the recovery process. It helped me out TONS before and after surgery.
