There is no such thing as a safe sex period.!!!
A woman can become pregnant at anytime of the month, even during her period.
Please get yourself on a birth control pill. Go to your local pharmacy and ask for Femilion. You will take the pill, everday at the same time. (be aware, that it takes the pills two weeks to sucessfully protect you from pregnancy.) I have personally been on it for the past two years, without any side effects, or CHILDREN!! You can go to a gynocologist, and talk to her about your upcoming wedding, and conerns. She will talk to you about your "fertile period" and give you a prescription for birth control, most likely without an examination. (though in India you dont need a prescription for birth control pills.)
You shouldnt feel shy anymore about going to see a gynocologist. It's time to be a grown-up. If you are ready to have sex and get married, then also you should be ready to see a doctor. Dont rely on hear say, and wives tales for birth control. Or you WILL end up pregnant..and going to the gynocologist regularly for prenatal checkups anyways.
Best of luck to you, and congrats on your engagement!

Condoms, contraceptive pills are the only answer to your question. Can't you wait till your marriage? Why are you having sex before marriage? The whole married life is there for sex.

okay use condoms and / or contracpetive pills they stop your getting pregnant.
as you going to get married maybe keep them discreet and with yourself after you've had the phera ceremony that way you won't discriminate the grounds of religion by carrying condoms and also when you are partyingif any, you can get themfrom a dhaba or something, maybe a chemist, mention 'bedroom protection' in slightest they'll get it its polite

Please use contraceptive pills as a safe bait as this measure will doubly ensure safety against unwanted early pregnancy and will also let you enjoy a fear free and anxiety free honeymoon and first night. You are never sure about your partner whether he would like to use contraceptives or not.

Birth control is an option or family planning if you do not agree with birth control. Talk to your GP

Birth control or condemns or just keep track of your cycle and don't have sex during your most fertile days. My husband and I had unprotected sex for 4 years and I didn't get pregnant until I wanted to just by avoiding those days.
