The files that are on your computer are not stored in RAM, but in your Hard Drive. Search for a device that looks something like this:

and put it in your new computer to get your old files.
RAM is the memory where your programs load things when you use them. When you shut down your computer, RAM is always cleared empty.
RAM chips look like this:

Having more ram makes your computer run faster, but if your old computer is very old, it probably has much slower RAM chips and i dont recommend moving them to your new computer, since then all your new ram chips start to run at the same speed as the older ones.
The hard drive you can move without worries.

Not generally but there are different types of ram out there and depending on how old ur "Dole" computer actually is it might have SDRAM where-as ur new one probably uses DDR or DDR2 ram so yeh they wont fit so just make sure they are the same sort and u should be fine

No it's not a bad idea only if your new computer's RAM matches with your old one. I am sure it will not but you can make a deal from your hardware vendor & he will buy your old RAM and adjust the price in your new matching RAM which you will take to increase your RAM.

To me, it is a bad idea.
You won't be able to transfer files via RAM as it is cleaned every time you turn off the computer, or when you'll remove it from your computer.
Moreover if your old computer is much older than your new one, maybe the RAM won't be compatible, or not good enough to improve performance on new PC

It's fine as long as you have no problem with math and have a really strong Algebra I background. Alg. II is actually like the best course to take over the summer, since it's so easy.

RAM memory is cleared as soon as you turn off your computer. Your Hard Disk is what hold the info permanantly(unless you delete/reformat it).
If you talking about ram there is no data permanantly stored on them.

If the specifications for the old RAM match the specifications for the new RAM, yes.
If not, don't!
