I'm a freshman majoring at computer science. All my classmates are using windows, But I only have a macbook. I wanna know whethter it is ok to write software on a macbook,

You 'only' have a macbook?

The link from the contributer above is fine - but only really relates to OS9, so isn't too useful for OS-X.

First thing to do is to install Xcode and the other developer tools from the OS-X disk that came with your machine. It's not essential, but it does give a decent environment for coding in (a bit more than a plain text editor does).

Out of the box, the Mac comes with various shells, perl, gcc (for c and c++), python and java (did I miss any?) already installed - so, depending on your language preference, you can start coding without needing to install a compiler. OS-X comes from a similar background to Linux - so most of the generic coding books (i.e. not those written for a specific vendor's compiler) should be suitable.
