Already growing a lemon tree...So I would choose a Christmas tree then in years to come I get to put lights on it and make it's branches smile!

have several trees already but my favourite is the minature ornamental apple tree in my front garden.
this little tree ticks all the boxes. can even be grown in a pot where space is at a premium.
blossom in spring- vibrant red leaves throughout summer /early autumn together with masses of tiny red apples- winter i drape Xmas lights around branches

(-: Oh darn, you took my tree! I would have chosen lemon -- but global warming is going to have to advance pretty seriously before I can do that! Same with a mandarin orange tree . . . . I'm growing some apples right now. I'd like a linden, too. My husband is really into birch.

we have a lemon tree, and a fig tree and a tree wich grows fruits that look like manderines but are sour.. i think its called a tangerine? lol
we used 2 have a huge fig tree but a couple of years ago there was really bad weather so it fell and the birds ate the figs anyway

umm.. i would grow an apple tree or a nectarine, plum, nut tree (pistashios grow on the tree i think) or how bout a coco-nut tree lol

I always wanted to grow a oak tree from a seed and watch it grow through the years.

An apple tree for eating raw and cooking delicious pies

A mulberry tree to enjoy dark delicious mulberries twice a year

A medicinal euclyptus tree for its' medicinal values in the winter months.

Whatever tree provides the best shade in the summer to reduce your cooling costs, and allow sunlight to enter in the winter to reduce your heating costs.

depends on where you are in the nation so check with your local nursery/ botanist as they will have the best info for you..

Otherwise grow a fruit tree so that you can have fresh grown fruit!

I like those beautiful flowering fruit tree, like a cherry tree. I would want one with interesting bark.
