I am excited about our upcoming first trip to Vegas. I am wondering what I should prebook before we arrive. Or what we should wait to book when we get there. Which will get us the best price/seats, etc
We are looking to do:
Cirque show - probably Ka or Love
Helicopter flight to Grand Canyon
Wax Museum
Eiffel Tower
Speed at Sahara (and the virtual driving thingy)
A comedy show (Harrahs is supposed to be good?!)

thanks.

IMHO "Ka" is a great show, but, don't get tickets too close to the stage> In the second section, towards the center is best.

You can buy the tickets up to 120 days in advance, I would buy them as far in advance as possible.

MGM - Ka - Ticket reservations 1-866-774-7117
I like section 202, row AA through DD would be great, a little further back the seats are just fine also. There are no bad seats in section 202.

If you can't get the seats you want to Ka you might try Mystere, it's my favorite.

For this show section 203 is the best, but if you can get tickets in sections 202 or 204 on the isle towards 203 those would be great seats also.

It's a good idea to reserve a spot on this type of tour.

If Maverick does not have the tour you're looking for, you might try these guys - Papillon

You don't need advance reservations or tickets to Madame Tussauds, the Eiffel Tower, Speed or Mac King.

They often hand out 2-4-1 coupons for the Mac King show at the booth located in the Carnival Court next to Harrah's. I have not tried this in a while, since I have not taken a "newbie" to LV in a few years, but, Harrah's has for many years given away 2 free tickets to see Mac King if you're a first time sign up for their "Total Rewards" slot club. No, you don't have to gamble a nickel, just sign up.

For some of the less popular shows you can try these.

http://www.tickets2nite.com >by the Showcase Mall next to MGM >The big Coke bottle<

a couple of great shows that don't cost an arm and a leg
Larry G Jones - Fitzgeralds - The Man of 1002 Voices - $22-$30, IMHO he's just as good as Danny Gans($100)

Dirk Arthur - Tropicana - Extreme Magic - The tickets were $29 but may have gone up a dollar or two>but the free LV magazines often have 2-4-1 coupons to this show & or I would check with the 1/2 price outlets for tickets to this show.

You should definitely book the show before you go as the big shows do sell out. Also, theaters are dark on certain days so that may limit your options. You can do that online and they have the seating charts there also to help you pick a seat. The other things you have on your list you can book when you get there and they should not be a problem.

I have seen KA at the MGM and really liked that show. We are going again in June and have already booked "O" at Bellagios. Enjoy

You may want to add a few free things to your list too:

1. Number one on my list is to watch the fountains displays in front of the Bellagios hotel. It usually runs every 15 minutes in summers starting at 3:00 PM; runs continuously until about midnight. Each show is different (there are more than 20 different tunes choreographed) so stay and watch at least 2 or 3. ALSO, go inside the Bellagios hotel to its lobby and view the beautiful glass sculptured ceiling AND the seasonal floral arrangements in the Atrium.

2. The “Sirens of TI” show (spectacular) in from of the Treasure Island Hotel; it runs every 90 minutes starting at about 4:30 PM. Simply stand on the sidewalk in front of the TI Hotel.

3. The volcano erupt in from of the Mirage Hotel; starting at dark until midnight. Again, just stand on the sidewalk in front of the hotel.

4. Go down to Fremont Street and see the light shows. There are usually 3 or 4 different shows, starting after dark (about 8:30PM) and lasting about 5 or 10 minutes each.

5. Go to the RIO hotel to see the Masquerade in the Sky show. It is like Mardi Gras parade, only suspended from the ceiling over the gambling floor. It runs every 60 minutes starting about 3:00 PM; the last show starts at 9:30 PM..

6. Go to the MGM Grand hotel to see the Lion habitat. This is better then the tiger habitat at the Mirage Hotel because there are usually trainers in with lions to keep them active.

7. Go to the Mirage hotel to see the white tigers that Siegfried and Roy show used. This is kinda passe because the tigers rarely do anything but sit and stare.

8. Go in Caesars Palace and walk through the Forum shops to the first fountain (its spectacular) then take the first fork to the left to go see the aquarium. Then continue on through the shops to the second fountain and wait for the show to start.

9. Go into the Flamingo hotel to see their animal habitat with flamingos and penguins.

10 The Excalibur hotel also has a free show starting at 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM.

If you are a Star Trek Fan, go to the Hilton (off the strip) for "Star Trek The Experience"; it cost about $35.

There is a Rat Pack show that's pretty good. Not too expensive.
