I would think it would be pretty simple... like if i told the doctor i have panick attacks. What other reasons are people prescribed xanex? Now the only thing I actually have trouble with is sleeping at night. I have to stay up almost a full 24 hours before I can go to sleep sometimes... Is there any way I could get ambian to help me sleep? :]

I also do not have a doctor. I just moved to Texas with my boyfriend 5 months ago. How would I go about finding a doctor?

And No, I am not lieing about having sleeping issues. Why would I lie about that after admitting "i like to get fucked up?" :) lol thanks for your answer though~.... about once or twice a week I can get in bed and fall asleep within the hour. But the majority of the week I will toss and turn for about 4 hours. Ive had this issue for as long as I can remember. I will wake up at 6 a.m. for school, get in bed around 10 or 11 p.m. and wont be able to fall asleep until about 2 or 3 a.m. .... its no fun. But then I catch up on my sleep on weekends and that "once or twice" a week.

It sounds like you're looking for drugs and not for help with your sleep disorder (if you actually have one).

You would be asked to try over-the-counter medication like Benedryl first and asked to make changes in your lifestyle and stress levels. You would be thoroughly screened for "drug-seeking behavior" which doctors are trained to look for.

You might be prescribed an anti-depressant like Trazadone which is commonly used for insomnia. Also, thanks to advances in medicine there are now drugs like Lunesta to help you sleep and not get you high or cause dependancy.

I think if you did a little more research on Ambien and Xanax (which you seem fixated on), you'd realize it's not worth your life or your safety.

Edit for Additional Details:

Umm... A *phone book*?

Tell them how long you have been taking them for sleep, anxiety, panic attacks... Or whatever and they will know as doctors that after years of taking a drugs like this one your body has become physically dependent.

Maybe you should learn to spell it {Xanax} before you decide that it's the correct Rx for your symptoms.
