I don't think it's right to put makeup etc on a baby

No. I think it is the stupidest idea ever put on this Earth. I recently went to a mall and was watching two little girls go up on stage and their mom was such a female dog when they got off stage. She was criticizing everything they were doing. Come on, the girls were about 4 or 5 years old. That's just wrong.

And John makes a great point. I know my baby is beautiful, why should I care if you think that?

No. I've thought about it, but then I see all those shows on TV about the beauty pagents for the 3-4 year olds...it makes me sad. The children look like they are 16! Too much makeup and being coached by their parents to look "natural" for the judges. I understand that a baby may not have any idea of what's going on as far as any of that goes, but look down the road...Also, with all the sickos out there today, I wouldn't want to have my baby's photo all over the place. I don't even send photos thru the e-mail for fear one would get into a pedophile's hands somehow.

Absolutely not. My daughter even criticized me for not starting her in those pathetic things, but you know what, she is better off for that.

Those little girls have so much pressure and whatever put on them at such a young age that they turn out like Jessica Simpson,.......unable to perform a healthy marraige later on.

They are just caught up in fame and publicity that I really feel like its ok to watch, but don't get infatuated with it, but please don't press your daughters to do that thing.

Btw, my daughter is 6 foot, 100 pounds, has those latino curves from her dad's side, but I still tell her not to be a model even though that is what she wants to be. Just be a great woman, don't worry about what people see you as.....

oh well. she has a job at some prestigious surf company now. I will count rosary beads now....oh wait, I'm not Catholic.....lol

yes, but only if it was a non-stressful time. If she hates it then she doesn't have to be in it, she will always be my most beautiful baby, no contest.

Absolutely. I think such things only become problematic when children are pressured to do such things for approval or acceptance. It is totally harmless to enter a baby. Please reconsider before raising your child in the pageant or modeling world. That's a tough place to grow up. It's not fair to the child.
Good luck. I hope your kid wins!

I don't have a child, but I don't think it will be a good idea to put my baby brother in there....

It's too late for me now...but if it came with free pictures...then I would consider it. I wouldn't want to put pressure on them to perform at a young age just for my own satisfaction. If they were into it...then why not......except the make-up part would irritate me.

God Bless U,

Daniel

I don't need no baby judge to tell me that my baby is a winner.

probably not. because they wouldnt really have a choice about it and its kinda taking away from them being a child if you do that. its kinda hard work for them
