I saw this on TV. You know how when you look out a window at night, all you see if the reflection of the lighted room? Well, apparently he placed a video monitor to reflect out the window, so it looked like you were looking at the Statue of Liberty. Then he shuts the shades, and puts a sticker over the statue of Liberty on the video monitor, and when you open the curtains again, IT'S GONE! Really amazing trick, but I think the explanation is even cooler.

it is not so simple as everybody say it is . Say it be like this .There are many things in front of you but you only see those which u are intentionaly looking at . In case of a magician playing a trick u are not intentionaly looking at the object but ur looking at the magician and his trick and there he hypnotise u to make things real

Trick is he doesn't, he just makes you think he does.
I haven't seen the trick exactly but from what I can gather it would be something along the lines of some strategically placed mirrors.

he didn`t make it disappear it was just an optical illusion
