Until a few years ago making a phone call was a case of finding a working phone box or waiting until you get home. If you were wanted the same applied that you had to be called when you were at home. Then came the Pager that told you to get to a phone and call the originator of the page. That was a pain as my boss used to page me and if I could not get to a phone within 10 minutes he adopted the policy that you were skiving somewhere. I managed well without a mobile for years and years and manage well without one now. I keep one in the car for emergency or an urgent message from or to home.

No, i couldn't - i'm 26 and have had a mobile now for 10 years and have never had a landline (except for business use).
And mobiles are so much cheaper now than ever, i cleared out some old paperwork the other week and found some of my first bills i paid £26 a month for 60 minutes!!! no one pays anywhere like that now, plus landlines are so outdated - surely this must be the way forward!?

I lived without a mobile for 27 years, so yes, I guess I could manage.

I would gladly live without my mobile. Bring back the good old days when mobiles didnt exist. All they cause is stress. Whenever my phone rings, it always seems to be bad news!
Still got one though!! Arent I stupid!

Yes! I actually only got one fairly recently and seldom use it - the times I have it wasn't essential. People who walk round with the phone permanently attached to their ear drive me nuts! I do see the purpose of them for an emergency though, like if your car broke down on a deserted road. Other than that we managed just fine without them!

I def couldn't live without mine, no way. It's the only thing that keeps me from losing the plot, as I can txt my girlfriend whenever I want.

I think it would be hard but sometimes it can be a pain because where ever you are someone can get hold of you
If you switch it off they want to know why
