I like it on hot toast so the butter melts more into the bread.

Try lightly buttering the untoasted bread and THEN toast the bread and butter together, so the butter really bakes into the bread. You have to do this in a toaster where the slices can lay flay.

Botter on warm toast is better than butter on hot toast most of the time ... because the toast WAS hot, and by the time the toast is warm the toast has had a chance to absorb the butter flavor.
