Throw it in the washer with a couple of bath towels. Pour Vinegar right on top of the load. Then put soap in as usual, a small amount of bleach (or better yet Oxi-Clean) nd no softener. Wash on your normal to heavy cycle depending on how bad it is, with hot water. Just hang back up dry. It will look brand new again. You need the towels in the load to give the curtain some scrubbing action.

Try spraying them with a little sanitizer, and then wiping them down. This may kill the mold. Running them through the washing machine is probably a good idea, too -- make sure it's on the gentlest setting (probably delicates) if the curtain is plastic. Then dry it in the sun. The sun is great at killing mold and bleaching out spots.
Right now, you've got a shower curtain you can't use, so I'd say even if it falls in apart in the wash, you haven't lost anything. You should be prepared to buy a new one.
To keep it from getting moldy, clean the bathroom once a week (at least), and let the curtains air dry -- outside in the sun for preference. Maybe install a fan in the bathroom, too. And choose curtains that are washable.

If it's a vinyl shower curtain, lay it on a concrete slab and pour bleach on the mold. Get a push broom and brush the bleach around. Get a water hose and wash it off. Let the curtain dry and re-hang. If it's cloth just put it in the wash with some bleach.

Bleach will kill the mold, but it will probably leave the mold stain.
I would get a new one. Even if you get the visible mold off of it, enough will remain so it'll grow back quickly. Either buy a bunch of cheap ones or get a more expensive one that is mold resistant. Then make sure you close your curtain and smooth it out after every shower so it dries completely, and lasts longer.

Depending on how bad the mold is.
You can put it in the washing machine with towels, just like a normal load with out bleach, bleach will cause you shower curtain to become brittle.
Hope this helps.

Put it in the washer with some towels(they are for friction). After you get it out of the washer, hang it back up and spread it out to dry.
