Try going to Start -->Search--->For files or folders. Once you find it, hold CTRL+Drag & drop to your desktop.

Trying checking the control panel under add/remove programs to make sure MS Office is still installed, otherwise try checking the folders in your program files or trying doing a search looking for shortcuts named word or anything named word & go from there. Good luck!
